Teamwork in Fund Administration

In our world we have of working remotely, we have numerous video meetings with clients and with that it's weekly, sometimes every other day, just on a regular basis. And sometimes running a tight agenda can be very difficult. Difficult. Keep the meeting flowing. Everyone's on a time crunch. Everyone feels the stress of downtime. Downtime. So they want things to just continuously move. So I feel like it's a challenge for us always to stay on topic. Remember the topic we're supposed to talk about. Also, when you're up, and you see your name on the agenda, know what you're going to talk about. A lot of us like to go blank on those moments. And sometimes we need a teammate to jump right in and say, Lisa, now that topic was blank, blank, blank, and keep us moving and flowing. And with that, we strive for excellence in teamwork and team building, as well as keeping the agenda moving and flowing and keeping the client happy that we're meeting our timeframes. Question. Sometimes your teammates can look at you and know that you just lost it there for a second, and you don't know the rest of your response. And the great thing about our team in striving for excellence is they jump right in, and they pick it up and, know, hey Lisa, I got that from here. Let me go ahead and share the rest of that response. I agree with that Lisa. I think that it's the repetition that builds to the excellence because it creates the habit. So each meeting we recognize where we may have fallen short the last time and we get to repeat it and strive to do better the next time. And so that's a really great opportunity for us to continue to strive towards excellence. And I love what you were saying too because we do sometimes forget in the moment what the agenda item was pertaining to, but we work really well as a team to either have like a code word in per se that like, hey I need help, or we just read each other well to jump in and say, this was about whatever the item may have pertained to. Yes, I think that it is a practice each and every week that we're running an agenda that it takes us to the next level. You learn the cues of the attendees in the meeting that allow you to either ask the question, is there anything else we need to cover on this topic? Or you just know that it's time to jump into the next topic. And it just really keeps us. In the eyes of the client, I hope it really just keeps us on track and let them know that we really do. We do have it all covered. We have it all going. I think that the clients feel valued too. I think that knowing as the fund administration team, when we get on a call with them, it's not just that Lisa knows about this one item or Jessica knows about this one item. As a team, we all know about it. And so when we can jump in and support each other in that way, I think it allows them to really build confidence in us that they are valued. We value what they're doing.
